Beginning Parliamentary Procedure Team placed first at the District Contest and The Advanced Team was second. Both teams will advance to the Sectional Contest. Amy Edison was also Second in the Creed Speaking contest and will also advance to Sectionals.

Parliamentary Procedure Teams Announced!!!

The 2011 Parliamentary Procedure teams will be as follows:

Beginning Team A; Amy Edison, Katie Birkmaier, Emily Ketscher, Kyle Roepke, Damon Greenshields, One spot left....

Beginning Team B; Mckenna Miller, Sheldon Baty, Cody White, Trevor Wentz, Hayley Riggs, one spot left

Made the teams but were tied in points so team A & B to be decided; Bailey Dutcher, Ashton Olsen ( We will decide Monday)

Advanced Team: Brooke Greenshields, Whitney Schaefer, Stephanie Simpson, Kylie Willis, Jacob Curtis, Dustin Denton, Karlee Riggs, Dusty Royse, Landra Skovlin. (not sure who yet :)


Chapter Creed Speaking 2010

This year's creed speaking event was the largest yet. Twenty brave Freshman and Sophomores each took their turns presenting the creed to a large crowd of family and guests at the potluck. Speakers competed for a 1st prize FFA jacket and 2nd for a tie. These awards are sponsored and donated by the Alumni and supporters. First and Second place winners will also be headed to the district contest in March. The remainder of the contestants met their goal of qualifying to attend next year's national convention. Winners were; 1st place Amy Edison, 2nd Emily Ketscher, and 3rd Hayley Riggs, also pictured are Katie Birkmaier and McKenna Miller. Congratulations to all of the creed speakers.


2010 National Convention

9 Members and Four Chaperones attended the National Convention this year in Indianapolis, IN. Members who attended were; Sawyer Wick, Jacob Curtis, Cody Arbogast, Stephanie Simpson, Myranda McFetridge, Bretta Wentz, Marta Stangel, and Kylie Willis. Chaperones were; Ms. Schofield, Carl McFetridge, Jay McFetridge, and Lianna Wentz. Students attended convention sessions, workshops and enjoyed many tours including Churchill Downs, the Louisville Slugger museum, the Corvette factory tours, and VIP Events and horse racing at Keeneland Track just to name a few.


80th FFA Banquet April 27th 7PM

Come help us celebrate at our parent member banquet on April 27th at 7 pm in the Multi Purpose room. Students will be honored with awards, degree pins will be handed out, and we will enjoy a great meal prepared by Lear's and served to us by out FCCLA chapter. All parents and members should attend


Enterprise Members Receive State Awards

Enterprise members take home top honors at state

 

Four FFA members of the Enterprise FFA chapter were named state winners for their proficiency projects at the 81st annual State FFA Convention held in Corvallis Oregon on March 19th thru the 22nd.  The winners are Jake Nicholls, Jaymes Butterfield, Kyle Stangel & Brooke Greenshields. To become eligible for the state competition these members must first fill out an extensive application and be selected as winners at the district level. After being selected on the district level their application is then passed on to industry experts in each specific area to be judged. Finally the applicant is interviewed by a committee of their peers and advisors at the state level and a winner is selected by adding up the application and interview scores. The winners were recognized on state during the Sunday evening session of convention and were awarded a state winning plaque and a checks totaling $300 each.

The Advanced Parliamentary Procedure Team earned 1st place at the District FFA contest on February 10th. Team members included; Brooke Greenshields, Whitney Schaefer, Silje Christofferson, Rachael Garvin, Erich Roepke and Cole Sajonia.

FFA members donate a gift basket to a local family

 In December members of our chapter voted to go on a shopping spree at Walmart. The plan was to complete our district service project. Each chapter at the Eastern Oregon Leadership camp was assigned a needy family in their home town. Chapters were then supposed to put together a gift or food basket for the family. We discussed and voted on the amount and shopping day at our meeting. We had a great time shopping and hopefully allowed the families holiday season to be a little brighter.
